Engagement Session in St. Moritz, Switzerland

luxury chic engagement photoshoot in St. Moritz surrounded by the mountains, the snow and a vintage fur coat from the 60's shot on a mix of film and digital

7500 St Moritz, Switzerland

There’s something about the Swiss Alps in winter that just feels like a movie set, especially when you’re running around St. Moritz with a couple as cool as Milona and Matteo. These two recently got engaged in Greece (talk about a dream!), but for their engagement session, they wanted to head to the snow.

For me, being back in these mountains always feels like a homecoming. Since I was born in Switzerland and have been coming to these slopes since I was a little girl, I have a massive soft spot for the quiet, crisp air and that specific "crunch" of the snow under your boots.

The Style: Vintage Magic from FRIDA

We didn’t want a "cookie-cutter" engagement shoot. We wanted something that felt editorial, elevated, and a little bit timeless. That’s where the incredible pieces from FRIDA Concept Store came in. Honestly, if you haven’t checked them out, you’re missing out on some of the most curated, rare vintage finds out there.

The way the coat  looked against the white backdrop was everything. It brought so much character to the frames, there is something so cool about seeing those heavy, vintage textures in the middle of a raw, rugged mountain landscape. It is exactly the kind of contrast I am obsessed with.

From the Lake to the Peaks

We started down low, letting the wide-open landscapes do the talking, before hopping on the ski lift to chase the higher elevations. Up there, the light gets sharper, the lines get cleaner, and everything feels a bit more "graphic."

One of my favorite moments was when we introduced a pop of red into their outfits. Seeing that bold color against the monochrome snow? Pure magic. I shot a good chunk of this on film, too. There’s a certain grain and "soul" to film that digital just can’t replicate - it slows everything down and makes the images feel like they’ve existed forever.

More Than Just a Photoshoot

What really made this session special wasn't just the clothes or the epic views. It was how Milona and Matteo just were together. Since Milona is a pro model, she made my job insanely easy, but their chemistry is what actually carries the gallery.

There was no stiff posing or "look at the camera" vibes. I just gave them space to move, laugh, and be themselves in a place that means something to them. We ended up with a set of images that feels like them: stylish, emotional, and a little bit wild
