Fashion forward Wedding at Villa Olive Firenze in Tuscany

Via S. Romolo, 23, 50055 Lastra a Signa FI, Italy
August in the hills of Florence usually means heat, but for Anastasia and Dani, the sky decided to give us a quick surprise. The rain was totally unexpected, but it didn't take anything away from the day. That is the best part of an intimate wedding. You aren't stuck to a rigid, stressful timeline, so we simply waited for the clouds to pass and let the afternoon shift. It was just a brief pause before getting back to the real reason we were all there.
Once the skies finally cleared, we headed out into the olive groves for the ceremony. The landscape felt so fresh and alive after the storm. That specific stillness that follows a summer rain added such a soft, moody vibe to the photos. It was one of those unplanned moments that ended up being a beautiful contrast to the original "perfect" weather plan.
Effortless Energy in the Chianti Hills
Anastasia and Dani have this grounded, effortless energy that shaped the whole day. Nothing felt rushed or overly directed. As a Tuscany wedding photographer, I live for these kinds of celebrations where the focus isn't on a massive production, but on just being present with your people.
When the ceremony started, the guests gathered in close under the olive trees. With the Tuscan hills stretching out in the background and the damp earth underfoot, the whole setting felt incredibly immersive. We didn't need any fancy decor because the grove itself did all the heavy lifting. The silver-green of the olive leaves and the grey, clearing sky created a palette that was naturally sophisticated and completely timeless.
Embracing the Pivot
The rest of the afternoon followed that same relaxed rhythm. Conversations lingered and nobody was checking their watch or worrying about the next event on the schedule. It was a great reminder that a wedding doesn't have to have "perfect" conditions to be incredible.
In the end, the rain was just a small part of the timeline that slowed us all down just enough to make everything feel more intentional. It left behind a setting that was grounded, atmospheric, and exactly the kind of day I love to capture. Seeing the mist rise off the Florence hills as the sun started to peek back through made every minute of the wait worth it.
